Here is how you get breastfed poop stains out of 100% cotton, the hardest material to remove them from.
- Rinse thoroughly in COLD water.
- Apply soap or dish detergent to stain. Scrub in with fingers, dish brush, whatever you have. Rinse in cold. Repeat until nothing else is budging. It will still be bright yellow but no longer slimy.
- Spray with an all purpose cleaner containing citric acid. We used Method All Purpose.
- Launder as usual.
- Just to be safe, air dry. Sometimes stains appear gone when wet but reappear when dry. Air drying makes it not a set in stain should it reappear.
